Choose a small Copilot pilot that can teach you something

Select one repeatable, reviewable workflow with enough volume to measure and limited downside if a draft is wrong.

Choose for learning

Good first pilots use approved documents, happen often enough to practice, and already have a clear human owner. Avoid a rare crisis process or a decision that affects eligibility, safety, employment, or legal rights.

Write the baseline

Record the current steps, time range, quality check, delay, rework, and frustrations before changing the workflow. Without a baseline, enthusiasm can look like evidence.

Define stop conditions

Pause when source access is unclear, sensitive information appears unexpectedly, review cannot be completed, or the pilot creates more correction work than it removes.
